Wanted to let everyone know of a SCA friendly gaming store new in RI. It's called Veteran's Gaming and its address is 943 Namquid Dr, Warwick,RI 02888 (401) 572-3390.
It's owned and operated by Dean Johnson (AKA Leonard One Leg of Haus VDK).

Plenty of tables to game on and games to be played. They carry a multitude of games in all genres from tables top mini's to roleplaying games. All gamers are welcome to come on by and use our terrain filled tables to wage terrible war on each other or match wits in a duel of Magic!

Jessica Morris was diagnosed with stage III ovarian cancer 2 weeks after her 18th birthday. Jessie fough with every fiber of her being for nearly three years but sadly passwed away on August 29th 2008. Jessie's passion was dance and the performing arts. Read her story above pass it on to a friend, get the word out about this silent killer.
She was an amazing dancer and will be missed.
"Live each day as your last because you never know" this was a favorite saying of hers even prior to her finding out she had cancer.

When you give a compliment should you expect one in return and if so how do you know it's how they feel OR just a reaction?
Now first thing *I* LOVE to compliment people defiantly NOT to get one back I just happen to have a side of my personality that like to take care of people and make them happy (partly why some say I’m a good submissive). Positive reinforcement works WONDERS with me. So I really enjoy making people feel good about their accomplishment or themselves and such too. BUT as I have started to realize that the more I give this energy out it is not always returned. So at what point to you stop if it something you enjoy? I mean if it was simple and I just liked giving and getting nothing back it would be ok, but come on there is only so long you can give without getting something back!!
Now don’t get me wrong in most of my relationship it starts out pretty even but somehow during the course it has a tendency to change. It is NOT them becoming uninterested in me (they have been part of my life for years some of them) I think it’s more the NRE (new relationship energy) going away. Know I know I’m unusual as *I* do it out of my “need” to take care of people NOT because of the NRE. They usually I think do it to “catch” me then it goes away once they do, now mind you this is not the same as when your then fighting all the time with your significant other because well that is understandable why you don’t tell them are amazing if your always angry at them.
Honestly I think it might be because usually I don’t play many games with my relationships and they get “too secure” in my feelings for them (as in they don’t HAVE to try anymore). I’m quite honest about my feelings (to a fault sometimes) and I don’t like guessing myself so I try not to make others guess (though I don’t always accomplish that). So do I have to play games to get those compliments?? Do I have to make them wonder where they stand with me thus making guess and try again? (god seems like too much work to just play games).
So question I guess would be (at least for me) when I get in my occasional mood when *I* want a compliment or something is it ok to just say to (insert name here) “I could really use something nice said to me today” or would that come across as demanding?
Plus again knowing me am I then going to question “do they REALLY feel this way or is it just because I asked”?? Of course the easiest solution would simply to NOT need the compliment then guess it would not matter but I’m not quite there yet (soon though)

so i came home on wednesday and noticed my daughters penicillin missing from the cabinet where it was... thought this was weird because well it was there the night before. So i go upstairs in my room and things seemed a skew NOW if you know my room that is hard to detect at this time because it looks like a cyclone hit it but i just KNEW something was up. But again didn't think TOO much about it, though i must admit i was wondering if someone came into the house while we were gone.
Well today i found out they DID and not only took the meds BUT my laptop and my digital camera (not to mention my Pirates video (yes the adult one)). I mean they did not make out with much the lap top is broken (shattered screen) and the digital camera was actually not mine (the owner is unknown).
It's more the lack of respect that this person must of had to do this. I know it was someone who KNEW us because nothing else was missing (though i have tons of sword and electronics in my house) AND nothing was gone through. I think i know who it was but he will never admit if, though if i find out it was him i might go to jail for this and ALL the other things he has done. :(
ok time to sleep though i seriously doubt i will get any tonight :(
